European Qualified Person (QP) Association passes the 2.000 Members Mark
The not for profit European QP Association was established in July 2006 by the European Compliance Academy's (ECA) Advisory Board. This organisation’s goal is to support QPs in Europe in their important quality management function and to provide them with a common strong voice. It further provides a platform for networking, allowing QPs to exchange experience, discuss the latest regulatory requirements, to identify and address difficulties and challenges and to support a harmonised European approach.
In May 2013 the organisation crossed the mark of 2.000 members, associate members and guests from close to 40 countries. The continuing interest of QPs in joining the European QP Association emphasises the organisation's significance. It is also shown by the annual QP Forum which is regularly attended by more than 200 delegates from across Europe and beyond. This year, the Association will also be conducting the third annual US conference on European GMPs and the role of the QP.
In addition to the increasing attention from industry, the European QP Association also experienced a constantly growing awareness from national and international regulatory authorities. In fall 2007 the organisation was invited to attend an EMA Interest Group meeting for the first time. Since then it has been invited to represent the voice of European QPs every year.
