Edit Szőcs from Hungarian Authority joins European QP Association Board as full Member

In April 2012 the European QP Association appointed Edit Szőcs from the Hungarian National Institute of Pharmacy (NIP) as a nominated Board member. Now the Association announced that she joins the Board as full member.

Edit Szőcs who is a GMP Inspector at NIP with over 10 years of QA experience in the pharmaceutical industry, gained her knowledge in manufacturing, testing and packaging of various pharmaceutical dosage forms in Canada. As an Inspector, Edit has active participation in several organisations and working groups (PIC/S, WHO, GMDP IWG) and she will bring in her expertise from an authority’s perspective. She replaces Rudolf Völler on the Board who also represented the authority side. With his retirement from the Regierungspräsidium in Darmstadt, Germany, he also retired from the Association’s Board.

“Rudolf has been member of the Board since the Association’s foundation, and I am very thankful for his commitment throughout the last six years. He definitely contributed a lot to launch and advance the organisation.” said Richard M. Bonner, Advisory Board Chairman. “At the same time we are also very happy to welcome Edit, and we look forward to benefiting from her extensive international experience.”

Rudolf Völler had been with the Regierungspräsidium since 1978 and was heading the department GMP Supervision and Supervision of Blood processing Operations since 2001. He was also lecturer for special fields of law for pharmacists at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University Frankfurt and member of various expert groups of the German ZLG (Central Authority of the Länder for Health Protection) as well as involved in many international activities (MRA EU/Canada, Twinning Programme EU/Poland, Qualification of Inspectorates at the WHO).
