Q&As regarding membership

What is the European QP Association?

The European QP Association is an Interest Group of the ECA Foundation. It was established in 2006 with the goal to provide a common platform (professional development, networking, information exchange, advocacy and representation) for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry who assume this central function within the pharmaceutical quality assurance system.

How do I become member of the European QP Association?

Membership in the European QP Association is free of charge. To become a member, please see the membership applications. Please also see “How does the registration process work?” for further instructions.

What are the benefits of a membership?

As member of the Qualified Person Association you

What do I need the members’ area for?

In the members’ area you will find various areas comprising valuable information for your daily work as a QP:

  • the Online Discussion Forum provides you with a platform to connect, discuss current questions and challenges, share experience, and learn from each other.
  • the Download Area allows you to access Guidelines, Position Papers, Question & Answer Documents or other publications developed in dialogue with you as members. These Guides will partly be developed through taking advantage of the knowledge gained through surveys.
  • in the Survey Area you will find surveys and respective summary reports.
How do I get to the members’ area?

You will find the members’ area in the website’s main menu at “members”. If you already set up your personal login you can simply go to the "Login" and enter your personal username and password. Please also see “How do I set up my personal login” for further instructions how to do that. If you have not registered for membership yet, you can do so with the membership applications. Membership is free of charge. Please also see “How does the registration process work?”.

Where do I get the login from?

After submitting the application form you will receive a membership confirmation mail also comprising a link to set up your personal login. Please make sure to choose a username different from your e-mail address. Please see “Why do I need to set up a personal login?” for more details. Please also see “How do I set up my personal login?” for instructions how to do that.

If you already set up your personal login and just misplaced/lost your password, please see “How can I get my personal login when I misplaced/lost it?”.

Why do I need to set up a personal login?

In the members’ area you will find a wealth of information you will benefit from in your daily work – made available exclusively to members of the European QP Association. To access this area, you need a personal login. As your personal username will be visible for all members on your posts in the online discussion forum, please choose a username different than your e-mail address.

How do I set up my personal login?

After submiting the membership application for the European QP Association, you will receive a mail to the address you entered in the registration process, comprising your membership confirmation and a link where you can set your personal login with username and password. You can choose any username and password you wish. However, please do not use your e-mail address as username (please see “Why do I need to set up a personal login?” for explanation).

How does the registration process work?

Once you entered your contact details in the registration form you’ll receive an e-mail to the e-mail address you also provided in the form. This mail will comprise your membership confirmation and a link to set up your personal login. After entering your e-mail address and a personal username and password there you will receive another mail with a confirmation link* which you need to click on to activate your membership. Please note, though, that sometimes this e-mail ends up in the "junk" or "spam" mail folder. In that case you'll need to drag this mail to your inbox and click on the link. By clicking the confirmation link you will get back to the login site for the members area. Only then your registration is complete and you will be recognized as member.

*This link is valid for 24 hours.

What do I need to do if I don’t receive the e-mail with the confirmation link?

Sometimes, the confirmation link for activating your personal login ends up in the "junk" or "spam" mail folder. In that case, you'll need to drag this mail to your inbox and click on the link. Only then, your registration is complete and you will be recognised as a member. If you did not receive the mail at all, please contact your IT department to find out whether mails from ECA are possibly blocked. Otherwise contact us at support@concept-heidelberg.de.

How can I get my personal login when I misplaced/lost it?

If you already set up your personal login but misplaced or lost your password, you can have it sent to your e-mail address. For that purpose simply use the retrieve password function. Please be aware, though, that your login will be sent to the address you registered with. If your e-mail address changed since then you will need to re-register again.

If you also forgot your username, please send an e-mail to support@concept-heidelberg.de.

How long is my personal login valid?

Your login is valid as long as you are member of the European QP Association. Membership is not limited in time.

What do I do when I change the company and my e-mail address is not valid any longer?

In that case you will need to re-apply for membership. Please see “How does the registration process work” for further instructions.

Does my membership automatically expire when I change the company?

No. However, as you will also get a new e-mail address, you will need to re-apply for membership. Please see “How does the registration process work” for further instructions.

What do I need to do if I want to delete my account?

You cannot delete your account yourself. Please contact us at support@concept-heidelberg.de to have your account deleted.

What do I do if my e-mail address changes?
